Production line set up
How deep can I anchor?
VisionAnchor has a 20 m (65 ft) cable + 1.5 m (4 ft) wire that connects the camera to the anchor.
Considering the waves and tides 18 m (59 ft) is the maximum depth for the basic VisionAnchor version.
How long does the battery last?
Three days if used within normal standards – that means checking the camera feed 10 times a day and keeping the anchor alarm running 24/7. Or 5 hours of continuous video feed during the day and 3 hours
with the lights on. You can easily recharge the buoy with the wireless charger on your boat at all times.
How do I attach the buoy to my anchor?
You will receive a standard D-shackle that connects the wire from the camera to the anchor. Vision anchor attaches to the crown of your anchor and not where you usually attach the anchor chain. For anchors like Rocna, you can also attach it to the roll bar. If you are not sure, please send us a photograph of your anchor and we will provide you with the best approach.
What if I lose my phone or the battery dies?
The anchor alarm in the VisionAnchor buoy still functions without a connection. If you set the anchor alarm radius in the application and then disconnect your phone, the buoy itself will sound an alarm alerting you or the vessels around you something is wrong with the anchor. You can connect to the VisionAnchor buoy with up to two devices.
